Off the Bench!
a creative, fun, interactive theater program Theater Improvisation is an American art form. Like Jazz music, the seeds placed in the U.S. developed into a unique and challenging ephemeral art form. As an art that disappears the moment it's over, improvisation nonetheless teaches crucial skills for today's modern world. Improvisation requires quick thinking, empathy, self-confidence, and group trust. Learning to improvise teaches young people and adults how to better interact with each other, how to have fun, resolve conflicts, practice difficult scenarios in a failure-free environment, and how to make choices that foster a collaborative environment.
