Note from Melissa: |
Darlings! Good news - we're coming back. Slowly, surely.
It's been a ride. Rather, more like a ride you didn't ask for, didn't want to take, and there was turbulence and maybe even a door or two that cracked and broke and barred the way. I suffered from something called "silent reflux." No sense hiding. It tore me up. Tore up my voice. Silenced me for the better part of the year. It took months and months to find out what was wrong - and even that diagnosis has been called into question. When health interrupts the things we do best - it can be an emotional roller coaster. And it was for me. But here we are on the other side of recovery - things are looking up! Another great round of turbulence was the loss of our beloved drummer, Tim Webb. Tim was a friend. A business partner. A drummer of the highest caliber - musical, sensitive to what was needed on stage. I miss him with all of my heart and soul. When he was on the gig, everyone relaxed. Nobody had to worry when Tim was there, no matter what happened the show would be a success because he kept everyone together. It's a completely different world without him. BUT. We do move forward. I have new songs coming out this year - look for "Move Me" and "Ven A Mi Querido." They are ready to release, but I want to add video. If you are interested in supporting us, please do so at my Patreon page at patreon.com/MelissaKatePro . I've never tried this before, so it will be an adventure for all of us. Your support does make things possible that otherwise would not be. Catch you under the lights... with love and grace, Melissa Kate |
