Joy. It is our saving grace.
There are a few things I know. Humans are silly and ridiculous creatures. We need music. We need each other. In 2018 we started a Teena Marie tribute. It's been through a few transitions, and we are so excited to be focusing on this tribute to bring this fabulous artist's work to life for an audience who may not have known her. Watch this site and watch our social media pages for what's to come! On the arts education front, look for ARTS FOR HUMAN ADVANCEMENT, my new-not-new company that will be the face of the arts education work I do with groups like the Girls Empowerment Camp! Can't wait to expand the work I do here. LASTLY--I have a book that is seeking an agent. Know anyone? Let me know! Watch, as well, for a rebrand. Melissa Kate Project is now MK & The Council of Sound. I am super excited with the expansion and the acknowledgment of the amazing artists who have helped lift me up and create opportunities. Catch you under the lights... Melissa Kate |
