Arts education and Aesthetic Education has always been a driving force in my life. I believe in the transformative nature of the arts, the craft that wakes us and opens our eyes to perceptions and visions we might otherwise never see. Officially, I have been a teaching artist for five years, and I have seen first hand how being willfully colorblind to a student's limitations can open up ways to approach learning. Below is my arts credo. I wrote this many years ago and continue to review and revise its language.  

I highly recommend reading Variations of a Blue Guitar by Maxine Greene.
